Visiting the Santucci's

We started our two week vacation with a visit to my sister Maribel & brother in law Jess' house in Lafayette, CA. We love visiting them. They have a beautiful view of Mt. Diablo from the back patio and it is very peaceful. Visiting them has become an annual tradition either on our way to Lake Tahoe or on our way home from Lake Tahoe. It's a trip we all look forward to!

MOUNTASIA + SIX

Some of you think I'm crazy and maybe after reading this it will confirm to you that I am. But I decided to take Wyatt & Lukas to Mountasia with some of their friends on July 28th. They invited Luke Cunningham, Devon Kim, Jared Mumper and Johnny Fredericks. That's right...it was me and SIX boys from the ages of 6 to 8 and I SURVIVED IT!
In reality, they are all really nice boys and they all got along great! They played 18 holes, which was one too many for Johnny, but I think they were all ready to go. We had planned that I would take them to the park for lunch where we would fly AirHogs and ride scooters. This worked out great!
After Mountasia I took all six boys to Bouquet Park, where we met Chris, and had lunch and flew AirHogs. I realized that even though my husband is 47 years old, he can climb a tree as fast as any 8 year old! He's like a "crazy" squirel!

HOOK UP !!!

HOOK UP!!! Chris went fishing w/David Smith & Jim Sojka on 7/26. They were fishing for Threshur Sharks...and actually caught one! They could not wipe the smiles off of their faces for several days!

David & Chris carefully release him back into the ocean!

Visiting the Revilla's

On 7/19, we went to my sister Eva and brother in law Ronnie's house. It was a nice, lounge by the pool, play some pool visit. We laughed, talked, worshiped Jesus and ate to our hearts content. Ronnie made my favorite homemade chicken taquitos and homemade quacamole. He's a good cook...all we needed was some Mexican Sweet Bread...hint hint, maybe next time!

Happy Birthday Craig!

We were blessed to be able to celebrate Craig's birthday with another double date! This time we went to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe. We love spending time with our dear friends Craig & Kathy! Next double date is Kathy's birthday in September! We are looking forward to it! Doesn't Kathy look fabulous in her glasses?!?!

Vacation Bible School!

Our boys did V B S the week of July 14th...and they had a blast at Camp Gratitude! Thank you Freedom's Way Baptist, for all the hard work in providing all the children with Biblical teaching, fun and games. It is a time they won't soon forget!

Lukas getting his certificate from Pastor Jerry Cook, and the other 1st graders!

Wyatt & his certificate w/his 3rd grade group and leader Candi Schultz. Candi is a sweet friend who is one of the most thoughtful, godly women I know. Thank you for always thinking of me and my family...it touches my heart! I love you!

Amber's Baby Shower

On July 14th we had a baby shower for our dear friend Amber.

This is her fourth child but her FIRST little girl!

We celebrated by singing Ambers favorite worship music in thanksgiving to the Lord.

Lacey Joy Davis was born on July 29th.
Welcome to the world sweet little girl!

Happy Birthday Katie!

The boys were both invited to celebrate Katie's birthday at Build-A-Bear on July 14th. It was their first time there...ever...(I know...I know...how awful of me)! ANYWAY!!! They had a wonderful time and I'm very glad they were able to share that special time with Katie! Thank you Wells family for making this a special day for not only your family, but ours too! We all had a really great time!

Our Sweet Toothless Wonder!!!

The tooth fairy is very busy here at the Hoglo Abode! Doesn't he look cute?
Thanks to Jeanne Mumper, Lukas is missing two front teeth...one from the top, which Jeanne removed after Karate class. We begged her to do it for us, since he wouldn't let us come near it!
Thanks Jeanne, you're the best~

Then a few days later, he let his Dad pull out the bottom one, he was so excited! He could barely stand still, note the background of the picture is NOT blurry! He thinks he's gonna be rich!

Happy....Happy....Everything....!!!

Upon returning from our 4th of July weekend, we took Mom & Dad to celebrate their 52nd Wedding Annniversary again. This time to Black Angus. We love having them live so close, it's a real blessing.

Then we celebrated another year in the life of the John Duane Hoglo...aka...Jack, Dad & Grandpa!! We told him we'd take him to Black Angus again, but he said he wanted Telly's instead! So there we are celebrating his 74th birthday, and the staff even sang Happy Birthday to him. I've never seen them do that at Telly's before, so I know he's a regular there and they love him!

It's Independance Day

In August 2007, our friends Mike & Erin invited us to join them in their new trailer aka Mansion on Wheels, for our Church campout in Lake Isabella. Well to make a long story short, the hitch broke! Though we made the best of it and had a nice time...I'm sure it's an adventure we NEVER want to re-live!
They invited us to go camping this year over the 4th of July and we gladly joined them again! Thankfully, nothing broke on this trip, so we played games, watched movies and went into town to Erin's Dad's house for a BBQ and the firework show. The fireworks show was so HUGE we didn't know where to look. The city had a show to our right, the college straight ahead, and a very wealthy neighbor to our left.
Jonathan wanted to be in charge of Wyatt & Lukas and the fireworks they were going to light in the cul-de-sac, and he did a wonderful job keeping all the little ones safe! Thank you Jonathan, and thank you Mike & Erin for another great trip in the Augusta Manor! We look forward to our next trip together!
The pictures of the RV are just to show you how bad we had it "Slummin' in the Augusta's Trailer". BTW, the trailer in the background in the picture of Erin & I, is NOT theirs. I just thought I'd mention that since I'm bragging about how wonderful their RV is! It really is, and if you're blessed enough to be invited...you should go!!!

Celebrating Ashley!

On July 3rd, we went to Corner Bakery and celebrated sweet Ash's birthday! We had a nice time. I know I speak for all of us when I say that our lives are richly blessed by our friendship with Ashley! Ash, you are an inspiration to me and I love you very much! Your friendship and your family mean the world to me and I thank our sweet Jesus for making us friends! You are always in my thoughts and in my prayers!
