HOW TIME FLIES!

Tagged by Lauren AGAIN!!!

WHAT I WAS DOING 20 YEARS AGO (MAY 1988)
Turning 20, I was wild and wreckless, so no doubt I was up to no good and won't get into specifics. (notice the date isn't as specific as Laurens dates are ... my dates are blurry).
Please note that this was 11 years before I knew the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior!

WHAT I WAS DOING 15 YEARS AGO (MAY 1993)
Started skydiving w/my best bud Karin (I call her Kar-bear) and met the love of my life, Christopher John Hoglo! (I have over 300 skydives & my hubby has over 1,500) this was a sport for us, NOT a one time event!

WHAT I WAS DOING 10 YEARS AGO (MAY 1998)
Getting married and on my honeymoon (1 week in Lake Tahoe then 1 week Kauai, HI).
Then returning to look for a job in Santa Clarita, I had just quit my job in hell aka Criminal Defense Lawfirm.

WHAT I WAS DOING 5 YEARS AGO (MAY 2003)
Raising my 1 and 3 year old boys...and loving every minute of it!

WHAT I WAS DOING 1 YEAR AGO (MAY 2007)
Wrapping up our school year and getting ready for Summer Fun!

WHAT I WAS DOING YESTERDAY (MAY 22, 2008)
Discovering that I lost the fight to my first cold in 2008. I began to pack up school stuff. School ended for Lukas on Friday the 16th and for Wyatt Wednesday the 21st, so now it's time for me to pack it all up and store it all away! Yipee!

Our 10th Wedding Anniversay 05/02/08

Those of you (anyone?) who actually takes the time to read my blog knows that we went to a Marriage Retreat last month. Well, our 10 year wedding anniversary was Friday, May, 2nd 2008, so we decided to make the Marriage Retreat our anniversary gift to each other. We then decided to SURPRISE Wyatt & Lukas with a trip to the "happiest place on earth" on our actual anniversary date. They have NEVER EVER been because Chris and I decided long ago, to wait until they were old enough, not only to remember it, but to ride on everything possible. (Lukas was too short for only one ride (Maliboomer) at California Adventure, and we made them go on EVERYTHING else. OK...back to the surprise...they finally found out on our drive down there the night before. We asked them to read that sign on the freeway "DISNEYLAND...NEXT EXIT!" they screamed. We got a hotel nearby, in order to be close the next morning. When we walked through the gates their reactions brought tears of joy to my eyes~I know it's silly, but there is something really special about seeing your beautiful, fun~loving children so giddy! Needless to say we had a blast, we were at Disneyland from open to close on Thursday 05/01, and California Adventure from open to close on Friday 05/02. We enjoyed the fireworks on our way out of California Adventure and my husband said that he had them specially arranged for our 10th Anniversary...isn't he sweet? (he's a big fat liar...but sweet nonetheless).
Anyway here's some pictures! Who looks happier...the boys or me?
Love,
Georg

Winchester Cheese Farm

Here is a slideshow of our field trip to Winchester Cheese Farm in April 2008. We went with our wonderful home school group, Lighthouse. The boys learned a lot about Gouda Cheese, and had great questions. It was a long day, but we are glad we went.

Marriage Retreat

Hi Everyone! Our church had a marriage retreat this weekend in Ventura. We were reminded of what a WONDERFUL gift it is to have a God honoring spouse. who loves the Lord, Jesus Christ. Pastor Philip DeCourcy was our speaker, and he was GREAT! He reminded us of our God given roles as man and wife. He blessed and encouraged us greatly~The following slide shows are from this weekend. We're sorry we didn't get pictures of everyone! But, hey there''s always next year!

My Health

First of all, I want to thank you all for your prayers and for continually checking up on me to see how I'm feeling. Praise the Lord, I am much better! I completed my first 10 weeks of Chiro appointments today. Not only has my numbness lessened considerably, it has even gone away completely in some areas. My leg and fingers still go numb, (which is still not good, and we still are unsure what is causing it) but thankfully, they are not going as numb as they used to. I will now see the Chiro twice a week instead of three times for the next 12 weeks, which is good financially. The onset of Spring, brought out the lovely allergies in me, and while on a regular visit to my Chiro, Dr. Griffin, she did some pressure point treatment on me and with (NO MEDS) they were gone! Amazing! We decided to take Lukas since he was suffering too and in only two treatments, he's all better! I'm thankful for the Lord and His provision for our family! He takes care of us ALWAYS! Well, again thank you to you all for praying and please keep praying this is only the halfway point for me! Blessings to you all far and near!

Love,

Georg

LIFE IS BUSY!

Well it's been a while since I've posted to our family blog,
and as all moms will agree...
LIFE IS BUSY!

Several of my friends are pregnant and several of them have given birth already.
We've had a couple of baby showers in celebrating the new lives
that the Lord has blessed them with. The slideshows are below...
First was Amy's shower, she had her forth child, Caleb.
Then was Barbara's shower, who had her second child, Ashlyn.
You can see Barbara pregnant at Amy's shower.
You can also see how much Amy's baby Caleb has grown
in just a month at Barbara's shower.

WOW! Gods perfect plan...Creation...is beautiful!

The Lord had blessed me with the best friends anyone could ever hope to have!
I am truly rich! Thank you ladies, I love you all!
Ecclesiastes 4:10 If one person falls, his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!
Thanks to all of you...I will never be pitied!

Noah's Ark at the Skirball

We went to the Noah's Ark at the Skirball Exhibit on the 10th of April, and had a blast! The kids were so interested in every little thing they saw. If you haven't been there, it is a hands on exhibit, and the more they touch the better! What more can a kid ask for? The first group of pictures is of the people that went...and the second group of pictures is just a small part of the exhibit! We will be going again!

Getting their group shot. Theresa made sure they got to be all together!

Making sure everyone knows they have an "X" on their hands! "1 - 2 - 3 - Extras!"

Josh & Trisana got parts too! What fun!

FIELD TRIP ~ LA ZOO

A few of us California Home Schooling Moms decided to take a field trip to the
LA Zoo on Friday. My hubby Chris, was our token husband and photographer.
It was an interesting visit to the zoo, to say the least,
but I really shouldn't get into too much details
...lets just say Spring is truly in the air!

God is Faithful!

Good news in our home today...Our little Lukas received Jesus as his Savior! It was so sweet...we were listening to a radio station in the car, when a lady on the radio said, that she had come to the Lord when she was 11 years old. Lukas then asked, "Do I have to wait 'til I'm 11 years old to come to the Lord, Mommy?" I said, "No." He then asked me, "Then can I come to Him now Mom?'' I asked him "Do you understand what it means to do that?" He said, "Yes, I'm a WRETCHED sinner and I need a Savior, and Jesus is the only One that can save me from my sins. I need Him, Mommy." After chuckling under my breath, because of the "WRETCHED" comment, we spoke about what it means to be saved by grace through faith and that our lives should show a change in which we glorify God for the rest of our life. He said he was ready to pray, so we did. When we got home, he couldn't wait to tell Daddy, who prayed with him again.

Wyatt was saved on November 25, 2005...we pray that we can continue to train them up in a manner that glorifies God...so that they can become godly young men who continue to love the Lord all the days of their lives. My prayer is that they become men after God's own heart!

I praise the Lord, for His mercy & His grace! "...for by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast..." Ephesians 2:8-9
